In the match against Australia on 9th of june Shikhar Dhawan was got serious injury on his hand. Initially he was ruled out from three matches but according to the specialists he can’t recover within a month. That’s why he ruled out from the whole world cup.

Shikhar Dhawan is now replaced by the youngster batsman cum wicket keeper Rishav Pant. Pant comes in with an accumulated ODI experience of five matches.
