Bittu will register a record-breaking win from Ludhiana Central constituency: Dawar , UPA govt will simplify GST to facilitate trade and industry to flourish: Bittu
Ludhiana, May 10: A big crowd of people and Congress supporters in election rallies-cum-meetings of party candidate MP Ravneet Bittu in Ludhiana Central assembly constituency last night gave a strong indication of Bittu’s victory with a huge margin from the constituency. Upbeat over the massive response of the voters, MLA Surinder Dawar predicted that Bittu would register a record-breaking victory from this constituency.
The meeting-cum-rallies were organised by Mr. Dawar in Subhani Building Chowk falling under MC Ward Number 62 led by Ward councillor Gurpreet Khurana and Islam Ganj Pulli falling under MC Ward Number 52 led by councillor Gurdeep Neetu.
Addressing the rallies, Mr. Dawar said that due to Bittu’s excellent performance as MP the the Ludhiana residents want to elect him to continue development process.
Speaking on this occasion, MP Bittu said that the Modi government had completely destroyed the economy of the country with its anti-people policies and dictatorial decisions like demonetisation and complicated GST Act. He said that after forming government at Centre after elections, the Congress would simplify the tax system so that the trade and industry could flourish again. He said that the UPA government led by Congress would review GST and would implement it after three years after simplifying it.
Referring to his opponent candidate Simarjit Singh Bains, Mr. Bittu said that the constituencies represented by Bains brothers lacked development and were lagging behind other constituencies. He said that Bains brothers had done nothing in their respective constituencies but they were involved in illegal acts of extortions and blackmailing and arm-twisting officials. He said Bains brothers had amassed huge wealth with their illegal activities. Speaking about his SAD opponent Mahesh Inder Singh Grewal, Mr. Bittu said Grewal had no base among masses and his part seems to have left on his own.
Mr. Bittu appealed the voters of Ludhiana to vote and support him so that he could continue the development works which he had started during last five years. He said that he had brought development projects worth Rs 2000 crores to Ludhiana and promised he would further bring more projects when elected MP again.
